Review: Goodpapa K1 Multi-Function Waterproof Spin Scrubber
After years of using the trusty old Green Scrubbing pads to clean the shower tiles, bbq grates, sinks, dishes, toilets, and more — the Goodpapa K1 all purpose spin scrubber looks to be taking its place in my cleaning toolkit. I’m a little extreme and particular about cleaning (sorry to my wife), some may call me a little obsessive. But I get things clean. The only problem is with cleaning tools. At the end of the day I always resort back to the trusty old green scrubbing pads. They just work. But they also work my hands and wrists. The Goodpapa K1 All Purpose Spin Scrubber has come to the rescue and looks to earn a permanent home in my cleaning arsenal.
The Goodpapa K1 Spin Scrubber is offered on Kickstarter and as of now has surpassed its goal of $998 by about $10,000! So it looks like people are interested. The Goodpapa K1 All Purpose Spin Scrubber comes in a few different packages:
- $79 — Spin Scrubber, Charger, Attachment head, 18 scrubber pads, wire brush attachment, softer bristle brush attachement, brush attachment + bottle brush, and charging cable.
- $99 — Everything in the $79 package + an extra attachment head, wire brush attachment, softer bristle brush attachment, brush attachment, bottle brush attachment, and 36 extra scrubber pads,
- $179 — essentially 2 of the $99 packages at a $20 discount.
The Goodpapa K1 4–1 All Purpose Spin Scrubber is a waterproof and wireless charging cleaning tool. When I heard waterproof I immediately thought it was just what I needed to scrub my shower without slowly scrubbing with a green scrubbing pad. And I was right. Every shower I took for a week I scrubbed a half wall without charging, probably about 24 square feet. It worked great, I even dropped it a few times and got it soaked. It kept going. The only thing I probably could have used was a suction cup shower mount! Occasionally, I couldn’t get into the corners of the tile and would have liked a more triangular or corner-based scrubber but I had my trusty green scrubber for those. But in the end, it worked great.
The magnetic scrubbing pad attachment comes with a bunch of extra-scrubbing pads but keep in mind it uses 3 at a time so I would suggest ordering the most that you can. They are sturdy but can wear out similar to a green scrubbing. The magnetic attachment heads are super easy to use and take off for cleaning, leaving little need for instructions.
If you’re a new parent and have an over-abundance of baby bottles to clean, you will really love the bottle brush. Instead of destroying your wrists cleaning 3500 bottles a day, the Goodpapa K1 Brush Attachment will be your new favorite tool.
The rubber grip on the inside has a start/stop button as well as the backside rubber grip making it easy to get spinning. And while it has enough battery to last for over an hour without recharging, the motor isn’t going to be as powerful as a sandblaster. However, it is great for general purpose cleaning including BBQ grill grates!
The charging station does use the supplied USB cable to get power to the cradle but it does wirelessly charge the Goodpapa K1 4–1 All Purpose Spin Scrubber. It is a great resting charger to keep the spin scrubber at arms length while always being charged.
And if you’re like me you are probably wondering why the company is named Goodpapa, well their vision statement can answer that: “Where there is a home, there is Goodpapa.”
In the end, the Goodpapa K1 All Purpose Spin Scrubber is a time and money saver. The faster I can clean, the faster I can get back to having fun with the family.
