Review: Dreame Technology’s T30 Cordless Stick Vacuum
Throughout the last year I have learned that I really, REALLY like a clean house — much to the detriment of my wife and kids (sorry guys!). From frequent changes of the house air filters to realizing the need for a really long lasting vacuum battery when cleaning multiple floors of the house. Past vacuums I’ve owned from Oreck to Dyson and even to the Xiaomi Roidmi F8 Storm Cordless Stick Vacuum I previously reviewed: https://bradybetzel.medium.com/xiaomi-roidmi-f8-storm-88e213aeb26a — all had amazing suction, decent battery life, and portability. The Roidmi F8 Storm has been at the top of the list for the last few years…until now.
The Dreame Technology’s latest lineup of cordless stick vacuums ranges from the affordable to the luxurious — the T10, T20, and the T30. And even the T30 is affordable! The Dreame Technology T30 cordless stick vacuum is what I would call a luxurious vacuum. From the carbon fiber extension pole to the stainless steel vacuum casing, the T30 balances the rugged exterior with the ease of use that few vacuums have. Upon opening the box and lifting out the vacuum housing of the T30, I just knew this was a different vacuum. It felt sturdy yet usable and once the LED screen turned on I felt something special. But at the end of the day, this is just a vacuum that should be able to handle all of what 3 boys under 10, 2 adults, and some cats can throw at it.
Up first, I threw very refined pancake mix powder on the floor. I did this because the particles are ultra refined and some of my vacuums will either blow half of the flour around the room or just won’t fully suck it all up. The Dreame T30 cordless stick vacuum sucked up the pancake mix in 3 swipes leaving little to no mess behind. And combined with the tight seals and HEPA based-washable filtration, no dust was blown into the air either. I was kind of shocked. Inside the Multi-Surface brush you could see some residue and build up so I blew it out, no need for any canned air or disassembly. The bulk of the pancake mix lived inside the main housing of the Dream T30, where I was able to push the button located on the front and empty the chamber. I did have to blow some of the pancake mix out of their as well, but no need for canned air or an air compressor.
I probably jumped in to fast when opening the Dream T30 but I wanted to see what I was working with. And then I noticed I should have charged the Dream T30 first before using it. So I let the vacuum charge overnight in the included 2-in-1 Wall Mount.
Since it was the first time and there was about a 30% charge I didn’t want to time it. But the next morning when the T30 was at 100% charge I ran the Dreame T30 continuously in “Turbo” mode, it lasted 7 minutes 49.7 seconds. This actually exceeds Dreame Technologies posted time of about 7 minutes and 30 seconds, a very welcome surprise. I usually find battery charging stats similar to miles-per-gallon stats that area always wrong and real life use often shows poorer performance. The Dreame Technology T30 cordless stick vacuum exceeds stated battery life.
Once, I drained the power from Dreame T30 in “Turbo” mode I needed to re-charge it using the 2-in-1 Wall Mount again. At first the T30 indicated it was charging but stayed at 0% for a while. I tried unplugging it from the 2–in-1 Wall Mount and plugging directly into the T30, even removing and replacing the battery, but nothing got it to start so I just left it for a while and came back. It took from 9:20am until 1:30pm to fully charge from 0% to 100%, essentially 4 hours.

The Dreame Technology T30 cordless stick vacuum is built to withstand animals, children, and even adults. In my house I am constantly vacuuming so I need a vacuum like the Dreame T30 that can vacuum up almost anything (dry) while maintaining a charge and suction power throughout the day. Plus, one of my kids chores is to vacuum and he may or may not drop the vacuum so it needs to essentially hold up to military spec testing (it’s not really mil-spec rated).

Real World Use
So what happened after extended use of the Dreame Technology T30 cordless stick vacuum!? Nothing, it kept working like a dream. My kids beat it up, my cats jam it with fur, and me and my wife don’t have to worry about missing any dirt.
I really love the dust level indicator chart that is on the back handle of the Dreame T30, when paired with the “Auto” setting and the Smart Multi-Brush Bar not only can you maximize power and suction for specific spills and messes but you will maximize battery life. But the best part is that when you need that extra, raw power you can tap over to “Turbo” mode and suck up everything (Including past dirt that old vacuums didn’t get!). Another feature that is simple and possibly overlooked is the “Continuous Cleaning Mode” on. With older cordless stick vacuums, I remember having to constantly hold the switch down while vacuuming. With the Dreame T30 cordless stick vacuum you can enable “Continuous Cleaning Mode,” hit the switch once and it will stay vacuuming until you hit the switch again. This might seem like a small feature but it really saves my hands, I work on computers all day and my hands can get achy. This feature should be a large selling point to most people, with really helps get rid of stress in the hands.
In the end the Dreame Technology T30 Cordless Stick Vacuum is a piece of art. From the carbon fiber extension tube to the polished vacuum housing with LED information display on the rear of the handle — the T30 is the most powerful vacuum I have ever used. From the flexible extension that allows for easy vacuuming under tables and chairs to the high-quality LED crevice tool, there will be few places you can’t reach with the T30. The 150,000 RPM motor matched with the 190AW of suction can suck up dust older vacuums have left behind. And with the added layer of safety using washable HEPA filters and seals, I can rest assured that we are helping our children breath easier with the 5-layer filtration system trapping particles down to .3 microns. The T30’s “Auto” setting is a great way to vacuum smartly. The T30 automatically will adjust suction power based on dust level of the are you are immediately vacuuming, giving the Dreame T30 an efficient and powerful way to vacuum your house without changing heads for every different floor type. I was vacuuming hardwood floors, carpeted stairs and bedrooms, and even rugs with high pile all without changing the Smart Multi-Brush Bar.
